sloan debate; rebecca west
> must remember- it will always cost less money to see good bands.
and with this in mind, everyone who isn't going to see sloan on Sat.
should check out Sweet Pea, opening for the Tim Robbins Experience at the
birdland. Dreamy, droning pop; by far the best unheard band in town.
And it's probably 1/3 the price of McSloan :)
and to the guy who was criticizing Catano because he's getting in for
free, I don't quite understand your logic. Using that kind of reasoning,
I could claim that the wealthy have no right to say that the living
conditions of the poor are unacceptable. whatever. Just because you're
in a better position than everyone else, it doesn't mean you shouldn't be
allowed to challenge the status quo. If anyhing, I think it would have
been harder for mike to say this, as he risks offending friends of his
by directly criticizing them.
The only other thing I want to add to this discussion: if memory serves
me correct, Sloan, jale, and Hardship Post played the McInnis room in
Oct. 93 for $8 (can anyone confirm the price?). Is an almost 100%
increase in price in just over 3 years justified?
Finally, Carol sizzle asked about the hidden burners on tracks.
I know for sure that the first one is called "Tried Untrue",
and I think the last one is "You Don't Come to Mind", but I'm not positive.
