realtime show/ concert

i don't know if anyone has really talked much about the concert aired
on the weekend (i have this tendency to delete most of my sloannet
mail) but am i alone in saying that the performance was rather
sloppy? i've only seen sloan live twice (once last year at sloanfest
or edgefest 3 and this sept. at HoM) but both times they were miles
ahead of the caliber of the vancouver show. timings were off and
singing was too, to name a few things. mind you, the mixing of the
show sucked (jay's guitar was way too loud). anyway, that's just
what i thought. maybe it's the whole lack of visual- there's
something funny about watching them that maybe erases the
particulars. i'm excited about the show here (which costs only $12
incidentally) and for all the ticket crying you people are doing, you
must remember- it will always cost less money to see good bands.
it's a fact. there are three concerts here in the next few weeks and
sloan and the inbreds and euphonic is only $12 to our lady peace's
$15 or $17. ticket prices will always be too much. anyway, stop
crying and pay out to the people you worship. later, jon
