ec bands dominate bnw's best of...
well, maybe not.
still,
for those of you wishing to disrupt yer
circadian rhythm, brave new waves will
be presenting their best of 96 show
tonight (tomorrow morning) at midnight
on cbc stereo, of course.
included in the show:
- informal poll of listeners' picks
- a listing of 50 albums of the year (with a few highlighted)
- a tour of fav 12"
- canadian bands of note in 1996
(*rumour has it this includes an ec band or two)
- chats with people rounding out the year in zines and comics
...
i'm sure most of you have heard the poohmons (pumons?).
i've just heard one of their songs but i understand they've done
a couple of pop explosions, recorded with chris m.
and they're from me hometown of windsor, on.
any ruminations on this quartet?
