I want to apologise,
I posted about the show this weekend,
the Rome Plows, Hercules, the Holiday Snaps show is cancelled.
The Oasis, who up till this afternoon, booked rock bands just
decided to change format to celtic. The reason we were given (for cancelling)
was that bands are legally not allowed to play at a bar for the
door money, and that they have to have a contract going into it.
I called the liquor board and the echoed his sentiment.
The thing is though, is that there is nothing stopping him from
drawing up a contract and letting us play. So that seems like
bad reasoning to me. It seems that the new management isn't going
to be very co-operative with the local rock bands, and that's
just unfortunate. I hope all my posting lately hasn't been too
overwhelming for everyone, I apologise.
