What sets Sloan apart from the Posies is the fact that, while
"Twice Removed" was a fantastic album, "Amazing Disgrace" was one of the
worst releases-by-a-good-band of the year. After "Frosting on the Beater,"
one of the best albums of 1993, I expected way more than AOR crap and
Cheap Trick. Maybe that has something to do with the album's flopping. I'd
rank "Frosting" near "2R" as far as the best albums of the '90s goes, but
the Posies have really gone downhill.

Obligatory Sloan content: a friend of mine DJs at a club in TO,
where Mr. Jay Ferguson spent New Year's Eve. So guess what: he went to
said club on that eve, and GOT CARDED! Tee hee!
