That's a good point, Tara, about the colors fitting with the sound of the 
album.  I never really thought about it much but as soon as I read what 
you wrote I realised you are exactly right.  Trying to think of what 
the colors purple and blue might sound like, what came immediately to 
mind was elevator to hell.  Especially songs like "let yourself glide and 
emptily die"; that's got purple and blue in it  -probably a little more 
on the purple side; but I wonder if the new et album will be like E.T.H. 
in a lot of ways.

While I'm on the subject of ETH,  I have a few questions.  The guest 
drummer "Chris" as creditted on the album...is that chris from eric's 
trip or chirs from sloan, or some other chris.  And also:  Are they 
relaly playing the Pop explosion?  As soon as a concrete list is 
available, please post it (maybe ytou already have, I haven't read 
through all my mail yet, being on both sloannet, and sebadoh-l I have at 
least seventy new messages every time I sit down to my computer).  I need 
to know because if eric's trip[, elevator to hell, and moon socket are 
all playing like a previous post said, then nothing will stop me from 
driving up there.  Wow, then I'll finally be able to meet all you sloan 
netters.  We should come up with a secret handshake or something so we 
can distinguish the true-believers from the non.
